Their Criticism Can’t Cancel God’s Call

Romans 8:33-34 (NLT)
"Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with Himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us..."
There was a woman who stood on the edge of a stage, trembling. Critics in the crowd shouted, “You’re not good enough. You failed last time. Sit down!” But her mentor stood in the wings and whispered, “Keep singing — your voice isn’t for them.”
That’s how life feels when you know God has called you — but others try to cancel what they didn’t create.
Romans 8 is Paul’s bold declaration that no accusation against the elect will stick — because God alone justifies.
The Greek word for “accuse” is enkaleo — to bring formal charges. But Jesus, our Advocate, sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us.
If your critics didn’t choose you, they don’t get to cancel you.
If they didn’t die for you, they can’t define you.
God’s voice overrides the noise — and His purpose silences every accusation.
1. Turn down the volume of outside voices.
Stop rehearsing the criticisms of people who don’t carry your cross.
2. Tune in to God’s voice daily.
His Word is your mirror — not their opinions.
3. Walk in the boldness of divine approval.
Live like you're already validated — because in Christ, you are.
Heavenly Father,
I surrender my heart to Your voice. I release the weight of criticism and receive the truth that I am chosen, redeemed, and called. Silence every lie that speaks against what You’ve spoken over me. Let me walk boldly in the path You’ve prepared, with grace, humility, and Holy Ghost power.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
If you're tired of living under the weight of human opinions and ready to walk in God's truth — say yes to Jesus today. He didn’t just save you — He called you. Come grow, heal, and live in purpose with us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries — where we don’t just go to church… we are the church.
