Power of Compassion
"Then Jesus wept." — John 11:35 (NLT)
Good morning Ekklesia,
In this brief yet profound verse, we encounter one of the most poignant moments in the Bible. Jesus, the Son of God, stands before the tomb of His friend Lazarus, overwhelmed with grief and empathy. "Then Jesus wept." These three words reveal the depth of His compassion and His profound connection to our human experiences.
Jesus' tears remind us that He is not distant or detached from our pain. He is deeply moved by our sorrows and intimately acquainted with our struggles. In this moment, we see the heart of God laid bare—a heart that grieves with us, a heart that understands our deepest hurts.
As we meditate on John 11:35, let us be reminded that Jesus is with us in our darkest hours. His empathy is not just a comfort; it is a testament to His boundless love and His promise never to leave us alone in our suffering. Just as He stood with Mary and Martha, He stands with us, sharing our burdens and offering His divine strength.
Let this truth inspire you today: No matter what you are going through, Jesus weeps with you. His tears are a promise of His presence and His power to heal. Just as He brought Lazarus back to life, He can bring new life to your weary soul. Trust in His compassion, lean into His love, and find hope in the One who weeps with you and for you.
May this reflection deepen your faith and renew your spirit, knowing that Jesus' love is always present, always profound, and always enough.
