Walking Like God Is Telling the Truth

Grace and Peace My Ekklesia Family

To walk in faith as a child of God means living as if what God has said is more real than what you see, feel, or understand.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NLT)

“For we live by believing and not by seeing.”

Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”

Romans 8:15 (NLT)

“So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’”

The apostle Paul writes that believers walk by faith, not by sight.

The word walk in Scripture means the daily pattern of life—how you think, decide, respond, and move through the world.

Faith in the Bible is not blind optimism.

It is trusting the character and word of God before the outcome appears.

Hebrews tells us faith is the evidence of things not seen, meaning faith acts on what God has spoken even when the visible world has not caught up yet.

And Romans reminds us why we can live this way: we are children of God.

We walk through life not as spiritual orphans trying to survive, but as sons and daughters who know their Father is present, involved, and trustworthy.

Many people believe in God, but they still live by sight.

They move according to:

circumstances

fear

opinions

bank accounts

public approval

But a child of God moves differently.

When God speaks, faith responds.

Even when the numbers don’t add up.

Even when the crowd disagrees.

Even when the outcome is unclear.

Faith says:

“My Father has spoken, and His word is more reliable than what my eyes currently see.”

Walking in faith does not mean you never feel fear.

It means fear does not become your guide.

Your Father does.

Walking in faith as a child of God means at least five things.

Listen before you move.

You seek God’s voice through Scripture and prayer before making decisions.

Obey when it costs you.

Faith becomes real when obedience requires sacrifice.

Trust God’s yes and His no.

Closed doors are not rejection; sometimes they are protection.

Lean on God in the dark.

When you cannot see the full path, you still trust the One leading you.

Get back up when you fall.

Children of God do not live in condemnation—they repent, receive grace, and keep walking.

Faith is not pretending life is easy.

Faith is trusting your Father even when life is complicated.

Father,

Teach us to walk by faith and not by sight.

Help us trust Your Word more than our fears,

Your promises more than our circumstances,

and Your guidance more than our understanding.

Remind us that we are not orphans in this world.

We are Your sons and daughters.

Give us courage to obey You today, one step at a time.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Jesus did not invite people to simply believe ideas about Him.

He invited them to walk with Him.

Walking in faith begins with surrendering your life to Christ and learning to follow Him daily.

If you want to grow in faith, obedience, and spiritual maturity, we invite you to walk with us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, where we pursue a real relationship with God and a real transformation of life.
