Gospel of Matthew 22:1–14 “Don’t Just Show Up — Suit Up.”

Ekklesia… listen to me.

Jesus tells us the Kingdom is like a King who prepared a wedding feast for His Son. The table was set. The invitation was sent. The celebration was ready.

But some folk were too busy.

Some were distracted.

Some even dishonored the invitation.

And the King said — Open the doors. Go get whoever will come.

That’s grace.

That’s mercy.

That’s the gospel.

You weren’t invited because you were perfect.

You were invited because He is gracious.

But here’s the prophetic weight of the text —

One man came in without a wedding garment.

He showed up… but he didn’t suit up.

He wanted the celebration without the transformation.

He wanted access without alignment.

He wanted invitation without consecration.

Ekklesia, hear me:

God is calling many — but the chosen are the ones who put on Christ.

This is not about church attendance.

This is about heart posture.

This is about being clothed in righteousness.

You can’t walk into a holy moment wearing yesterday’s compromise.

You can’t enter a Kingdom season dressed in rebellion.

But here’s the good news —

You don’t have to sew the garment yourself.

The King provides it.

When you surrender, He clothes you.

When you repent, He robes you.

When you believe, He transforms you.

So today — don’t just accept the invitation.

Put on Jesus.

Put on humility.

Put on holiness.

Put on obedience.

Because the table is ready.

The feast is prepared.

The Bridegroom is coming.

And Ekklesia — we will not just be called…

We will be chosen. (Are you shifting?)
