I Had No Doubt

"This Morning When I Rose, I Had No Doubt"

Psalm 118:24 – "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Good Morning Ekklesia Family

This morning, when I rose, I didn’t have no doubt. These words, sung by our elders, carried more than melody—they carried testimony. Such songs stirred the Spirit of God because they weren’t just sung; they were lived. They came from hearts anchored in the faithfulness of a God who had brought them through trials, hardships, and unseen dangers. These hymns of old proclaimed the assurance of God’s presence, rooted in promises like Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

When our elders sang, they were preaching a gospel of unwavering trust, reminding themselves and us today that no matter what the day holds, God’s power is greater. Their surrender was complete. They trusted Him in the rising of the sun and through every valley they would walk.

This is the prophetic call for us today: to rise each morning in faith, surrendering our worries, doubts, and plans to the Lord. As Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Whatever you face today, start with surrender. Lay your fears and uncertainties before God. When you rise with the confidence that He is in control, you open the door for His Spirit to guide, comfort, and strengthen you. Just as our elders stirred the Spirit through their faith-filled songs, let your life proclaim, “I didn’t have no doubt.”

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of this day. I surrender my plans, my worries, and my heart to You. Fill me with the same Spirit of faith and assurance that carried our elders through every trial. Let my life reflect the truth that You are faithful and Your mercies are new every morning. Guide me, strengthen me, and help me to walk boldly as Your disciple today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
