God’s Question to Adam

When Adam and Eve hid after disobeying God, Genesis 3:9 tells us:

“Then the Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you?’”

This wasn’t a question of location—it was a question of presence.God knew exactly where Adam was physically, but He was calling him back to relational awareness.

Even today, God still asks: “Where are you?”Not because He doesn’t know—but because He wants you to know. He’s not just asking, “Where are you physically?” He’s asking:

  • “Where is your heart?”

  • “Where is your worship?”

  • “Where is your surrender?”

  • “Where is your faith?”

Your answer can be:“I am here.”Here in Your presence. Here in Your purpose. Here in Your peace.

Psalm 118:24 affirms each moment is heaven’s handcrafted opportunity.Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:34 to stop worrying about tomorrow—grace is deposited daily.Acts 17:28 declares that our very existence is inside of God’s life and breath.

Genesis 3:9 reveals God's heart: a God who seeks communion, not condemnation. When He asks “Where are you?”—it’s an invitation to come back, stand up, live fully.

When people ask how you're doing, let your response become your testimony:“I am here.”Not lost. Not hiding. Not afraid. But rooted in grace, anchored in purpose, and present with God.

✔ Start your day with a still moment—saying, “God, I am here.”

✔ Reject shame or guilt—God is still calling you, not condemning you.

✔ Reclaim your peace by being fully present.

Abba Father, I surrender my fears, distractions, and hiding places. Thank You for still asking, “Where are you?”I am here—present in Your mercy, aware of Your grace, available for Your will. Let every breath I take be an act of worship in the moment I’ve been given. In Jesus’ name—Amen.

God is still calling. He’s still asking, “Where are you?”Today, you can answer: “I am here, Lord.”
