Faith to Reach Out

"For she thought to herself, ‘If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.’"

— ‭Mark 5:28 (NLT)‬

GmEkklesia

In Mark 5:28, we encounter the story of a woman who had been suffering from a bleeding disorder for twelve years. Her condition made her ritually unclean, isolating her from society and normal worship. Despite her desperate situation, her faith led her to believe that if she could merely touch Jesus’ robe, she would be healed. This was a profound act of faith because it was not the robe itself that had power but her belief in Jesus’ ability to heal. Her thoughts, her determination, and her faith intersected in this moment of profound trust in Jesus' power.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you feel isolated, broken, or beyond help? Just like the woman in this scripture, there are times when our circumstances seem insurmountable. Yet, her story teaches us the power of intentional faith and the importance of planning and thinking about our deliverance and blessings.

1. Have you planned or thought about your blessing and deliverance?

Like the woman who reached out to touch Jesus’ robe, have you identified the steps you need to take in faith? It starts with a thought, a belief that change is possible, and a plan to act on that belief. What are the “robes” you need to reach out to in your life?

2. Do you have a vision for your healing?

Visualize your deliverance and healing. The woman saw herself being healed even before she touched Jesus. Do you see your victory and breakthrough in your mind's eye?

3. Are you prepared to act on your faith?

Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). It’s not enough to believe; you must take actionable steps towards your deliverance. What actions can you take today to move closer to your miracle?

Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of faith we see in the woman who touched Jesus’ robe. Help us to cultivate that same level of faith in our lives. Give us the courage to plan and think about our blessings and deliverance. Show us the steps we need to take, and strengthen us to act on our faith, knowing that You are our healer and provider. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The woman’s faith and determination brought her healing. Today, let us be inspired by her example. Think about your own needs for healing and deliverance, plan your steps in faith, and reach out to Jesus with confidence. Your miracle could be just a touch away.
