Don't Touch or Take What's Not Yours
I woke up this morning and I was praying, thanking God for another day and I begin to think of some of the butt whoopings I got as a kid. I remember one in particular my mom gave it to me we were at a store here in Louisville in the old Algonquin Manor, yeah there was a store called “Roses” a then Five & Dime type of store… before you get out of the store you have to go through the checkout lane. OK doing so my mom is about to buy her items and I look over and I see this beautiful chocolate bar looks like a Reese’s Cup and I picked up the Reese’s Cup and know this I was a little boy might have been 4 or 5 but we get in the car and mom plus me and backseat I get in the back seat and began to open up and eat the Reese cup, then my mom looks at me and said “where did you get that?” I told her “in the store” She started whipping me and talking to me at the same time… “don't… you… touch… or… take… what's… not… yours… don’t… you… know… that… is… stealing?...” (the dot’s were the actual whoopings, LOL) She beat the “Hello” out of me!
Sometimes we pick up some things in life that's not ours and one of the things we have picked up is this spirit of fear. now what should know something right now God did not give you the spirit of fear, but he gave you a spirit of power of love and of a sound mind. 2Timothy 1:7. Now I know that because of this Corona Virus right here in the state of Kentucky we have the Governor and Attorney General about to go to court over allowing churches to reassemble. I want to go back to church, but now is not the time. There is no cure or vaccine for this, there probably won’t be one until a year from now. And it would be shameful to continue to put people in harm’s way when you don’t have to.
These are scare and manipulation tactics, to get people to do something that doesn’t need to be done.
We must use what God have given us… For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
In case you happened to pick up something that was not yours… Here is how to put it down.
Don’t allow anyone to intimidate you, I don’t care if its governments, people, or things… PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD
Psalm 56:3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
Use the Power He has given you… this will help you endure. Use the Love He has given you… this will sustain you. Use the Sound Mind He gave you… this will guide you.
Don’t allow anyone to intimidate you
Psalm 27:13-14 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
