Faithful While Waiting

Hebrews 10:23

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”

This week, Ekklesia is preparing to walk into 7023 Raggard Road. Today we can see the building, turn on the lights, and prepare the sanctuary.

But there was a time when we couldn't see any of this.

There were temporary spaces, changes, questions, and moments when we didn't know what was next. Yet Sunday kept coming—and God's people kept showing up.

Somebody kept praying.

Somebody kept giving.

Somebody kept serving.

Somebody kept believing.

Hebrews tells us why:

“He is faithful that promised.”

Our confidence was never supposed to rest in knowing when God would answer or how He would do it. Our confidence rests in Who God is.

Maybe Ekklesia is celebrating an answered prayer while you're still waiting on yours.

Don't mistake waiting for abandonment.

You may not see the answer yet, but you can still trust the One who promised.

Sometimes faithfulness isn't spectacular.

Sometimes it simply means praying again, believing again, serving again, and showing up again.

Today, hold fast.

Because the God who was faithful yesterday is still faithful today.

And Ekklesia, as we walk through the doors of 7023, remember:

This isn't just the answer to an old prayer. It's evidence for the next one.

What are you still holding onto God for?

Ekklesia has a new home.

But you may have another prayer that hasn't been answered yet.

Maybe you're waiting for your family.

Your marriage.

Your finances.

Your purpose.

Your ministry.

Your career.

Your children.

A relationship to be restored.

A door to open.

Direction for your next season.

Today's challenge isn't to pretend waiting doesn't hurt.

It's to decide:

I will not judge God's faithfulness by today's circumstances.

Father,

Thank You for being faithful even when I cannot see what You are doing.

There have been moments when waiting made me tired, uncertainty made me question, and disappointment tempted me to let go.

But today I choose to hold fast.

Not because I understand everything.

Not because circumstances are perfect.

But because You are faithful.

Thank You for every answered prayer that reminds me of Your character.

Thank You for every person who encouraged me when my faith became tired.

And thank You for the prayers that haven't been answered yet, because even there You are teaching me to trust You.

Help me remain faithful while I wait.

When I become weary, remind me.

When I become impatient, steady me.

When I cannot see Your hand, help me trust Your heart.

And when the answer finally comes, don't allow me to forget Who brought me through.

You were faithful then.You are faithful now.And You will be faithful again.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

I WILL HOLD FAST.

Today I choose faithfulness over frustration.

I will not allow waiting to convince me that God has forgotten me.

I will keep praying.

I will keep serving.

I will keep believing.

I will keep showing up.

I will keep walking.

Because my confidence isn't in how quickly circumstances change.

My confidence is in the God who does not change.

He is faithful that promised.
