Praising God Strengthens Us While We Wait

Psalm 5:3 (NLT)

“Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.”

Ekklesia, my prayer for you is that you would become a House of Excellent Praise—not just when the answer comes, but while you are still waiting on the answer.

Waiting can wear you out.

Waiting on the job.

Waiting on the healing.

Waiting on the relationship to change.

Waiting on the money.

Waiting on the opportunity.

Waiting on God to do what you believe He said He was going to do.

And sometimes the hardest part of waiting is not that God has said no.

It is that God has not said anything yet.

David says, “Each morning I bring my requests to You and wait expectantly.”

There is a difference between waiting and waiting expectantly.

Some people wait while assuming nothing is going to happen.

David waits like somebody who believes God heard him.

He prays—and then he watches.

He talks to God—and then he looks for God.

He makes his request—and then positions his heart in expectation.

That is what praise does for us while we wait.

Praise keeps waiting from becoming wasting.

Because while you are waiting for God to change the situation, God may be using the waiting to strengthen you.

Praise reminds you:

God has not forgotten me.

God has not abandoned me.

God is not late.

God is still working even when I cannot see the work.

Sometimes we think strength means being able to change the situation.

But biblical strength is often the grace to remain faithful when the situation has not changed yet.

Isaiah said:

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength…”— Isaiah 40:31

Notice that.

They don't get strength after the waiting.

They receive strength in the waiting.

And Jesus shows us what faithful waiting looks like.

In Gethsemane, Jesus prayed while facing what was ahead of Him. He surrendered His will to the Father. He endured the cross. He trusted the

Father's purpose even through suffering.

And then early Sunday morning—

God answered the waiting with resurrection.

So, Ekklesia, do not confuse God's silence with God's absence.

Just because you cannot see Him moving does not mean He has stopped moving.

Just because the door has not opened yet does not mean God has forgotten where you are.

Just because it hasn't happened yet does not mean God is finished.

Keep praying.

Keep believing.

Keep watching.

And while you wait—

keep praising.

Because praise keeps your spirit strong enough to remain in position until what God has appointed finally arrives.

Today's Declaration

I will not become discouraged in the waiting. I have prayed, God has heard me, and I will wait expectantly. My strength is being renewed, my faith is being developed, and my praise will remain until God's purpose is revealed.

Let Us Pray...

Father, thank You that You hear us when we pray.

Give us strength for the places where we are still waiting.

When we become impatient, teach us to trust You. When we become discouraged, remind us of Your faithfulness. When we are tempted to move ahead of You, give us the discipline to remain where You have planted us.

Teach us not merely to wait—but to wait expectantly.

Let our praise declare that we still believe You.

Strengthen the person who has been praying for a long time. Strengthen the person who is tired of waiting. Strengthen the person who wonders whether You have forgotten them.

Remind us that Your silence is not abandonment and Your timing is not neglect.

And Father, make Ekklesia a House of Excellent Praise—a people who can praise

You before the answer, praise You during the process, and praise You when the promise finally comes to pass.

We trust You.

We wait for You.

And while we wait, we will praise You.
