HE BROUGHT US HOME
When Prayer Becomes a Place
Friday's Movement: BUILD
Today's Devotional: Don't Just Move In—Build Something
Scripture: Joshua 4:4–7

Today's Big Idea
God's blessings shouldn't stop with us. What He does in our lives should become something the next generation can build upon.
“What mean ye by these stones?”— Joshua 4:6
Don't Just Move In—Build Something
After Israel crossed the Jordan, God told Joshua to take twelve stones from the river and build a memorial.
Why?
Because one day their children would see those stones and ask:
“What do these stones mean?”
The answer would become a testimony: This is where God brought us through.
That's legacy.
This week, Ekklesia is moving into a new home, but this message is bigger than a building.
What are you building with what God has brought you through?
Your children should benefit from lessons you had to learn the hard way. Someone else should find hope because you survived. Your answered prayer should become encouragement for somebody who is still waiting.
God doesn't bless us simply to make our lives more comfortable.
He gives us something to build with.
Your testimony can become somebody else's courage.Your wisdom can become somebody else's direction.
Your faithfulness can become somebody else's example.
So don't just celebrate what God has done.
Build something with it.
Build faith. Build family. Build character. Build community. Build something that will still speak when somebody asks years from now:
“What does this mean?”
And let your life answer:
“This is what the Lord has done.”
Ask yourself today:
What has God given me that was never meant to stop with me?
Maybe it's knowledge you need to teach.
A testimony you need to share.
A relationship you need to strengthen.
A gift you need to use.
An opportunity you need to steward.
Or a younger person you need to encourage.
Don't wait until you think you have something enormous to leave a legacy.
Start with what God has already put in your hands.
Someone coming behind you should be able to walk farther because you were here.
Lets Pray...
Father,
Thank You for every place You've brought me through and everything You've placed in my hands.
Don't allow me to receive Your blessings selfishly.
Show me what You want me to build with what You've given me.
Let my experiences become wisdom, my struggles become testimony, my blessings become opportunities to serve, and my faith become an example for someone coming behind me.
Help me build something that points beyond me and back to You.
May my life leave evidence that You were here, You were faithful, and You brought me through.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today's Declaration
I WILL BUILD.
I will not simply enjoy what God has given me.
I will steward it.
I will turn lessons into wisdom.
I will turn blessings into service.
I will turn testimony into encouragement.
I will turn what God has done for me into something He can do
through me.
I want someone coming behind me to find evidence that God was faithful here.
