“Tell Your Truth”
(Romans 5:1–5 NLT)
Ekklesia Family
Sometimes God gives us exactly what we need, but because it doesn’t look like what we wanted, or we were just too immature at the time, we call it something less. We mislabel the blessing. We walk away from what was meant to be permanent, trying to make something secondary work like it was sacred.
It’s not that the next thing is bad—it’s just not God’s best.
We often end up living off the leftovers of our own decisions, trying to make peace with what we settled for, instead of trusting God with what He prepared.
Yet even in that, grace abounds. God doesn’t stop loving us because we missed it; He reminds us that we still belong to Him. That’s why Romans 5:1–5 speaks to our story—
“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God… And this hope will not lead to disappointment, for we know how dearly God loves us.”
So yes, I can tell my truth:
I should have made a better decision.
I should have listened sooner.
But thank God—He didn’t leave me in my lesson; He’s leading me through it.
1. Reflect before you react. What feels uncomfortable now might be a setup for your greatest growth.
2. Learn from the missteps. God can turn even your detours into direction.
3. Receive peace, not punishment. Stop replaying what went wrong; start rehearsing what God is still making right.
Let's Pray...
Father, thank You for loving me even when I didn’t see clearly.
Thank You for the lessons that became blessings, even when I didn’t recognize them at first.
Help me discern what is from You and to hold tightly to what You have ordained.
Teach me not to settle for less than Your best, and grant me the wisdom to see through Your eyes.
In Jesus’ name, I surrender my choices, my past, and my future.
Amen.
Tell your truth—but let grace have the last word.
