Unshakable Strength in a Shifting World

Grace and Peace Ekklesia

Psalm 46:1–3 (NLT)

[1] God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

[2] So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.

[3] Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude.

When the world feels unstable — when mountains crumble, relationships shake, and the oceans of life roar with uncertainty — this psalm reminds us where our stability truly rests. God is our refuge and strength. Not was. Not will be. He is — right now.

The psalmist doesn’t deny the chaos; he declares confidence in spite of it. Earthquakes may come, but fear doesn’t have to stay. Mountains may fall, but faith stands firm. The presence of God is not absent in the storm — it’s most visible there.

When the ground shakes beneath your feet, remember: your foundation isn’t the earth; it’s the Eternal. Refuge doesn’t mean escape — it means covering. God doesn’t always remove the storm, but He shields you within it.

When the news shakes you, when the bills rise, when relationships tremble — pause and declare:

“God, You are my refuge and my strength. You are my present help — not tomorrow, not later, but right now.”

Let this be your Interlude moment — a holy pause to breathe, to remember that no wave, quake, or crisis is stronger than the One who holds you.

Prayer of Encouragement

Father, thank You for being my refuge when life is uncertain. When I feel shaken, anchor me in Your peace. Let my confidence rise above the chaos, my faith stand firm on Your Word, and my spirit rest in Your strength. You are my help — always ready, always near. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
