I REACH THEM

Grace and Peace My Ekklesia Family

Kingdom hospitality is not passive. Jesus teaches us to move toward people with intentional love before expecting them to move toward us.

Primary Scripture: Luke 19:5 NLT

"Zacchaeus! Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today."

Supporting Scriptures:

Luke 15:4

Romans 5:8

Matthew 9:36

John 1:14

Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector, wealthy, disliked, and considered spiritually compromised by many in his community.

When Jesus entered Jericho, the crowd saw Zacchaeus as a sinner. Jesus saw a soul.

Notice that Zacchaeus never called Jesus first.

Jesus called Zacchaeus.

Jesus never waited for Zacchaeus to become acceptable before approaching him.

Jesus initiated the relationship.

In the culture of that day, sharing a meal in someone's home communicated acceptance, relationship, and fellowship. When Jesus said, "I must be a guest in your home today," He was demonstrating the heart of God that moves toward people rather than away from them.

Too many believers are waiting for people to come to church before we show them love.

Too many Christians are waiting for someone to start the conversation.

Too many churches are waiting for visitors to introduce themselves.

Jesus did not wait.

He moved.

He initiated.

He engaged.

He reached.

The Kingdom of God advances when believers stop expecting people to come to us and start going where people are.

We cannot pray for harvest while ignoring the field.

We cannot ask God for souls while avoiding people.

We cannot celebrate hospitality on Sunday if we refuse to practice it Monday through Saturday.

As Ekklesia prepares for Family & Friends Day and our 15th Anniversary Celebration, the Holy Spirit is calling us beyond observation into action.

Yesterday we learned:

"I See Them."

Today we learn:

"I Reach Them."

Who needs a text?

Who needs encouragement?

Who needs an invitation?

Who needs someone to listen?

Who needs someone to remind them that God has not forgotten them?

Hospitality begins long before someone enters the sanctuary.

Hospitality begins when a believer chooses to move toward someone with the love of Christ.

Do not wait.

Reach.

Do not assume.

Reach.

Do not postpone.

Reach.

Somebody's breakthrough may begin with your obedience.

Today's Declaration:

"I will move toward someone with the love of Christ."

Let's Pray

Father,

Thank You for reaching toward me when I was far from You.

Thank You for loving me before I understood Your love.

Forgive me for the times I have waited when You were calling me to move.

Fill me with compassion.

Give me courage to initiate conversations.

Give me wisdom to recognize opportunities.

Give me sensitivity to the needs of those around me.

Use me as an instrument of Your grace.

Help Ekklesia become a church that reaches beyond walls, beyond comfort, and beyond routine.

Today I choose to move toward people with the same love You showed me.

In Jesus' Name,

Amen.

Jesus is still calling people by name.

Just as He called Zacchaeus, He is calling you.

If you have never placed your faith in Christ, today is the day to respond.

If you have drifted from Him, today is the day to return.

If you desire to grow in relationship with Jesus and walk alongside a family of believers committed to discipleship, we invite you to grow with Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries.

Christianity is not about religious performance.

It is about walking daily with Jesus Christ
