RESET AND RENEW: The Death of the Old System

Grace and Peace My Ekklesia Family
The "Shift" of 2026 requires more than a resolution; it demands a total structural reset of the soul to handle the weight of new Kingdom authority.
“Stop dwelling on the past. Don’t even remember these former things. I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT)
“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the wine would burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins would be lost. New wine calls for new wineskins.” — Mark 2:22 (NLT)
The Context of the New
In Isaiah 43, Israel was in Babylon—stagnant, captive, and defined by their trauma. God wasn’t just promising a "nice day"; He was announcing a systemic overhaul. The Hebrew word for "new" here is chadash, which implies something renewed or repaired to its original intent. In Mark 2, Jesus uses the imagery of wineskins. In that culture, an old wineskin became brittle. If you put fermenting, expanding "new wine" into it, the skin didn't just leak—it shattered. The reset isn't just about the wine (the Spirit); it’s about the skin (your character and habits).
The Crisis of the Old System
We are entering a season where "Comfort Christianity" is shattering. Many of us are trying to pray for 2026 blessings while maintaining 2015 mindsets. We want God to "renew" our bank accounts but refuse to "reset" our obedience. A "Reset" is painful because it requires a shutdown. You cannot fix a glitching system while it’s still running on the old code. God is calling for a Sabbath of the soul—a moment where you stop performing so He can reprogram your priorities.
A reset is not a suggestion; it is a survival requirement for the "Shift." If you do not allow the Holy Spirit to reset your heart, the weight of your next level will break you.
Obedience over Opinion: Stop arguing with God about what you "used to do."
Conviction over Convenience: If it costs you nothing, it’s not a reset; it’s a hobby.
The Invitation: Look at your life. Where are the cracks? Where are you leaking? Repent for trying to contain God’s glory in a brittle, stubborn heart. Let the old system die so the new life can breathe.
Let's Pray...
Father, I surrender the "old me." I stop clinging to the victories and the traumas of yesterday. Reset my mind. Recalibrate my heart. I repent for my stubbornness and my desire to stay comfortable. Ruach HaKodesh, breathe into me. Give me the strength to be a new wineskin—flexible, strong, and ready for the New Wine of 2026. I am not a monument to the past; I am a movement for the future. In Yeshua’s name, Amen.
Jesus isn't looking for a "better version" of you; He wants the real you. If you’re tired of the old system failing, come home to the Creator. Walk with us at Ekklesia. Let’s grow together, not in religion, but in a relationship that actually transforms. Follow Him today.
