You Are You - And That's More Than OK

“You Are You — And That’s More Than OK”

Romans 12:6 (NLT)

"In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well..."

Also see: Psalm 139:14 | 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 | Ephesians 2:10

Good morning My Ekklesia Family

Being uniquely you means there aren’t many people “like” you—and that’s not something to hide, that’s something to honor.

You are different. God made you that way.

You love differently.

You give differently.

You respond, process, express, and worship differently.

You were not designed to fit in—you were created to stand out in His grace.

In a world that demands sameness, God called you to be yourself in Christ. You weren’t built for copy-paste religion. You’re a living, breathing, handcrafted testimony of God’s divine artistry.

So be encouraged today: Be your God-given self. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. Heaven already approved your design.

Paul, writing to the church in Rome, emphasizes the diversity of spiritual gifts in the body of Christ.

The Greek word for “gifts” (charismata) is rooted in charis—grace. This tells us that our uniqueness is not a coincidence; it is gracefully given.

Different gifts.

Different callings.

Same Spirit.

Same Lord.

God distributes His gifts not equally—but equitably.

That means you’re not lacking; you’re appointed. Your difference is not your deficiency—it’s your divine assignment.

1. Stop Apologizing for Who You Are.

Embrace the way God made you—your voice, your perspective, your creativity, your heart. You don’t need validation when you have been divinely verified.

2. Use Your Difference as Ministry.

The way you love, serve, and see the world is exactly how someone else will see Jesus.

3. Celebrate Others While Honoring Yourself.

There’s no competition in Kingdom purpose. Uniqueness doesn’t divide—it multiplies impact.

4. Resist Conformity, Choose Transformation.

Romans 12:2 reminds us: “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you...”

Dear Father, Creator of every part of me,

I thank You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I surrender the parts of myself I’ve been taught to hide. I release every voice that told me I wasn’t enough. I silence every critic who told me I was too different. I receive Your Word over me—I am chosen, gifted, called, and covered.

Give me courage to love with my kind of love, to give with my kind of generosity, and to lead with my kind of voice. I choose to walk boldly in the uniqueness You placed in me. Let me never trade my anointing for acceptance.

In the name of Jesus the Christ,

Amen.

Have you spent your life trying to “fit in,” only to feel like you were never quite enough? The truth is, you were never supposed to fit in—you were created to stand out in God’s purpose.

At Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, we don’t just make room for your difference—we celebrate it.

We believe that God uses uniquely gifted people to change the world.

We invite you to walk with us, grow with us, and become all that God created you to be—in Christ.

You don’t have to be like anyone else.

Just be who God made you to be.

And that, beloved, is more than enough.

Pastor Stephän Kirby
