Good Morning My Ekklesia Family
John 8:12 NLT
"Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, ‘I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.’”
Once a man told his grandson, “There are two paths every man walks—the one beneath the sun, and the one guided by the Son.” When the boy asked, “What if I can't see the Son?” his grandfather replied, “Then remember His Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.”
In this declaration, Jesus is speaking to a crowd still reeling from His mercy toward the woman caught in adultery. He says “I AM”—echoing the divine name of God from Exodus 3:14. He is not a light, He is The Light.
To follow Him means more than agreeing with His teachings—it means stepping out of the shadows of sin, shame, confusion, and spiritual blindness.
The darkness He speaks of is separation from God, lack of direction, and the burden of trying to navigate life on our own.
But the light that leads to life—that’s divine direction, spiritual clarity, and eternal hope.
Follow the Light Daily: Not just on Sundays. Let Jesus guide your words, decisions, and thoughts.
Renounce the Darkness: Darkness is anything that pulls you away from God’s voice. Let it go.
Reflect the Light: Be the evidence of God's glory in your home, job, and community.
Lord Jesus, Light of the World,
Shine on every dark corner of my soul.
Where I’ve been stumbling, steady me.
Where I’ve been hiding, heal me.
I surrender my will to Your way.
I choose to follow You—boldly, joyfully, and fully.
Lead me into the life You promised.
In Your holy name I pray,
Amen.
If you’re tired of walking in circles... tired of living in the shadows... the Light is calling you. His name is Jesus.
Follow Him—and you will find the life you were created for.
