Trusting God When We Don’t Understand

Hello My Ekklesia Family
Ecclesiastes 11:5 NLT "Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things."
Trusting God When We Don’t Understand
There are moments in life when the “why” weighs heavily on our hearts. Why did that door close? Why did the healing take so long? Why did the person we prayed for pass away? Why is the answer delayed?
Ecclesiastes 11:5 gently reminds us that just as we cannot trace the invisible path of the wind or comprehend the silent miracle of a baby forming in the womb, we also cannot fully understand the intricate workings of God. And that’s okay. Because while we don’t always understand His process, we can trust His purpose.
God is always working — even when we can't see it, even when it doesn't make sense, even when it feels silent. He sees the end from the beginning. He knows what is best for us — not just for the moment, but for our eternity. His activity is divine, perfect, and often beyond human logic.
Faith is not the absence of questions; faith is the presence of trust in the One who holds the answers.
So today, rest in the mystery. Release the need to know everything. Surrender the outcome to the God who does all things well. He’s got you. He’s got this.
Heavenly Father,
Today I let go of the need to understand everything and choose instead to trust in You. Even when I can't trace Your hand, I trust Your heart. You are working in the unseen, arranging, protecting, and perfecting things for my good and Your glory. Teach me to rest in Your mystery and walk confidently in Your plan.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Speak this out loud... "I may not understand the 'how' or the 'why,' but I know the Who — and that’s enough."
If you’ve been searching for purpose, peace, or understanding in the midst of life’s mystery, we invite you to begin or renew your journey with Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life — and He longs to walk with you, guide you, and save you.
At Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, we are a community of believers learning to trust God more deeply, love one another more fully, and live out the gospel more boldly. Come grow with us in faith, purpose, and identity.
