Pursuit of Trust

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

GmEkklesia,

Reconciliation - Rebuilding trust in broken relationships can be achieved if we do things God’s way instead of our own. In our way, we often try to control others to prevent further pain. However, true healing comes through trust—trusting God to work in our hearts and the hearts of those around us. Control stems from fear, while trust is born from faith and love. By surrendering control, we allow God’s transformative power to guide us, leading to peace and reconciliation.

Proverbs 3:5-6 challenges us to shift our focus from our limited understanding to God’s infinite wisdom. Trusting God means embracing uncertainty and believing He will lead us to restoration. This scripture invites us to live in faith, where trust transcends circumstances and empowers us to rebuild relationships.

1. Acknowledge Vulnerability: Admit where trust has been broken and allow God to heal those wounds. Vulnerability opens the door to authentic relationships.

2. Practice Forgiveness: Release the need to control outcomes by forgiving those who have wronged you. Forgiveness is an act of trust in God’s justice and mercy.

3. Cultivate Communication: Create an environment for honest dialogue. Listen with empathy and speak truthfully, focusing on understanding rather than controlling.

4. Seek God’s Guidance: Pray for wisdom and patience. Ask God to work in both your heart and the hearts of others involved. Let prayer be your anchor.

5. Exercise Patience: Trust requires time. Be patient as God works in unseen ways. Remember that His timing is perfect and His plans are for your good.

As we journey through rebuilding relationships, let us choose trust over control. By leaning on God’s understanding and submitting to His will, we pave the way for true reconciliation and peace. Trust is a divine gift, a bridge to healing, and a testament to God's redeeming power.

May we, the Ekklesia, embrace trust wholeheartedly, allowing God to restore and strengthen our relationships. Amen.
