YOU DON'T NEED THE WHOLE MAP
Trust obeys the God we know even when we don't know everything ahead.
Scripture: Genesis 12:1–4; Hebrews 11:8
The Call of Abram
Genesis 12:1 The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you.
2 I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.
3 I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
4 So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.
Hebrews 11:8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.
Abraham went without knowing exactly where he was going.
That's faith.
We often tell God:
“Show me everything first.”
Then we'll call our response faith.
But sometimes God doesn't show you mile twenty because He's asking whether you'll trust Him with mile one.
Abraham wasn't trusting a map.
He was trusting God.
And eventually Scripture calls him God's friend.
Faith isn't confidence in your ability to predict the future.
Faith is confidence in God's character when you cannot predict the future.
What has God already made clear that you've delayed because you don't know what happens afterward?
Take the next step.
“Faith doesn't need the whole map when faith knows the One leading the journey.”
Let's Pray... Father, I surrender my demand to understand everything before trusting You. Give me courage for the next step. Jesus, lead me. Holy Spirit, teach me to recognize Your direction. Amen.

You don't need the whole map. Abraham trusted the One leading him. What step has God already shown you? Take it. Meet Jesus
