Patience

Good morning My Ekklesia Family

Imagine planting a seed. You water it, watch over it, protect it from harsh winds and scorching sun. But no matter how much you hope or pray, you can’t rush its growth. The roots must go deep before the stem breaks the surface. That’s patience—trusting something is happening even when you can’t see it.

“But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.” – Romans 8:25“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act.” – Psalm 37:7a“Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” – James 1:4 (NKJV for clarity)

The Greek word for patience in Romans 8:25 is hupomonē, which implies steadfastness—not passive waiting, but active endurance under pressure. Psalm 37 reminds us that waiting in God's presence isn’t inactivity—it’s worship in stillness. And James 1:4 speaks of patience as a maturing force, shaping us into completeness. Patience is not punishment; it's preparation.

Patience isn't just about waiting—it’s about trusting. It’s believing God is working while we are waiting. Patience teaches us that God's "not yet" is not "no"—it’s "wait, because I’m working something greater than you can see." Whether in relationships, healing, finances, or ministry dreams, patience positions us for purpose.

Lord, help us to trust You in the waiting. Give us peace when answers seem delayed, and faith when silence feels heavy. Grow our character, anchor our hope, and remind us that You’re always on time. We surrender our timelines to You, believing Your timing is perfect. Strengthen our hearts as we wait on You.

If you’ve grown weary in the waiting, come and rest in Jesus. He knows your delays and your desires. He offers you not just answers—but Himself. Receive Him today. Trust Him today. Join us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries—where we learn to wait, walk, and worship together.
