Good morning My Ekklesia Family
"My Only Competition is Me."
Galatians 6:4 (NLT)
“Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.”
Beloved, ever looked around and felt like someone else was ahead of you — more successful, more spiritual, more “together”? It’s tempting to measure your progress by somebody else’s scoreboard. But what if the goal was never to beat them — just to build a better you?
A flower never competes with the one next to it…
It just blooms.
Paul reminds us in Galatians 6 not to compare or compete but to focus on the work God gave us. When you measure success by God's assignment—not someone else's applause—you begin to grow with freedom, clarity, and confidence.
Stop scrolling through others' highlights.
Start showing up for your own growth.
Today, ask: “Am I doing better than the me from last year, last month, last week?”
That’s kingdom progress. That’s spiritual maturity. That’s real success.
Lord God, Adonai, my Creator and Sustainer—
Help me to run my race with grace.
Free me from the trap of comparison.
Teach me to rejoice in others while remaining focused on the path You’ve carved out just for me.
Today, I commit to becoming the best version of who You called me to be.
Let my only competition be yesterday’s me.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
If you’ve been running the wrong race, chasing the world’s definition of success, now’s the time to realign with God’s will for your life.
Come home to Jesus. Walk with Him, grow with Him, and live a life that outdoes every version of who you were before grace found you.
