“The Masterpiece in the Ashes”
My Ekklesia Family
Today, I want you to imagine a sculptor staring at a block of stone. To others, it’s a rock. But the artist sees a masterpiece within. With every strike of the chisel, pieces fall away—not to destroy—but to reveal what was hidden all along. That’s what God does when you die to self.
Galatians 2:20 (NLT) says, "My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me."
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us, “For we are God’s masterpiece.”
Dying to self is not erasing your identity—it’s embracing your true identity in Christ. When we surrender, the counterfeit version—shaped by pride, pain, performance, and people’s opinions—is consumed in the fire of grace. What remains is holy, healed, and Heaven-crafted.
• When pride dies, purpose rises.
• When fear dies, faith rises.
• When self-effort dies, Spirit-led power rises.
Dying to self isn't the end of you—it’s the unveiling of you. The real you. The version God authored before sin rewrote your script.
So stop mourning the ashes of the counterfeit. Rejoice! Because the masterpiece is rising. The fire didn’t destroy you—it purified you.
Abba, we lay down the masks, the fear, the need to perform. Burn away what’s false. Reveal the son, reveal the daughter, reveal the masterpiece You designed in the secret place. We surrender. We say yes to the unveiling. In Jesus' name, amen.
If you're tired of living a version of yourself that God never authored, come to Jesus. He doesn’t erase your identity—He redeems it. Join us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, where transformation isn’t just preached—it’s lived.
Ekklesia. Where the broken are restored. Where the counterfeit dies and the masterpiece rises.
