Make Room for Grace

“Make Room for Grace”

Romans 15:7 NLT – “Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.”

Good morning My Ekklesia Family

Just imagine walking into a church where the seats are full—but no one moves over to make room for you. You stand there holding your story, your struggle, your scars—wondering if there’s a place for you. Now imagine Jesus walking in... and pulling up a chair right beside you. Not asking questions. Not checking your credentials. Just saying, “You belong with Me.”

The Apostle Paul is writing to a divided church—Jews and Gentiles struggling to coexist in the same spiritual family. And his command is clear: Accept each other—not just tolerate each other, but receive one another fully—just as Christ has received you.

That word “accept” is deep. In the Greek (proslambano), it means to pull someone in close, not just into the room, but into your heart. Jesus didn’t accept you because you were right—He accepted you while you were still wrong, still wandering, still broken. Why? So that God would be glorified.

This kind of acceptance doesn’t just change church culture—it changes hearts.

Speak grace where others speak gossip.

Embrace people before they "get it together."

Love without checking labels, status, or skin.

Because every time you welcome the hurting, honor the different, and forgive the flawed, God is glorified in you. And revival begins.

Dear Father, El-Roi—the God who sees—

Thank You for seeing us, accepting us, and loving us while we were still sinners.

We surrender our pride, our prejudices, and our past.

Teach us to welcome as You welcomed. To forgive as You forgave.

Make our church a house of grace, not judgment—a sanctuary of belonging, not rejection.

Let our love reflect Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you’ve ever felt like there was no room for you—know this: There’s a seat for you in the Kingdom of God.

Jesus has already pulled up your chair.

Come join the family. Come find your place.

Connect with us today at ekklesiachristianlife.org and experience the love of Christ through discipleship, worship, and community.

LoveUmorethanUknow,

Peace and Blessings,

Pastor Stephän Kirby
