God’s Opportunity

My Ekklesia Family

“If God gives you the opportunity to make someone's day brighter, take it and make that day brighter.” - Stephän

Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.”

— Galatians 6:10 (NLT)

Think of a cloudy day when the sun suddenly breaks through. Even a single ray of light can change the entire atmosphere. In the same way, one kind word, one prayer, or one simple act of love can transform someone’s day from heaviness to hope.

Paul reminds the church in Galatia that opportunities to do good are not random—they are gifts from God. These moments are divine assignments where heaven intersects with our ordinary routine. When you feel that nudge to encourage someone, to bless them, or even just to smile, it is the Spirit moving through you.

To make someone’s day brighter is to reflect Christ Himself, who said, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14). Your light is not for hiding but for shining. Each act of goodness is a testimony that God is alive and working through His people.

1. Recognize Opportunities – Don’t overlook the small chances to encourage. A text, a prayer, a smile—these matter.

2. Respond Quickly – Delayed kindness can become missed kindness. Obey the Spirit’s prompting in the moment.

3. Reflect Christ – When you brighten someone’s day, you reveal the love of Jesus more clearly than any sermon could.

Lord Jesus, thank You for every opportunity to shine Your light. Open my eyes today to see where I can bring hope, joy, or comfort. Help me to act quickly and faithfully, knowing that one small act of love may carry eternal impact. I surrender my words, actions, and even my silence to be used for Your glory. Amen

If you are reading this and you’ve been waiting for a sign that God sees you—this is it. Jesus is the Light that never goes out, the One who brightens not just your day but your soul. Open your heart to Him. Receive His love, His forgiveness, and His presence. Join us in walking this journey of discipleship together at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, where we are family in Christ.
