God Gives Patience
Romans 15:5 (NLT):
"May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus."
You are a seed planted deep in the soil. Though unseen, you're not inactive. You are stretching, breaking, and preparing to sprout—because God’s design includes process. And process requires patience.
Romans 15:5 reminds us that patience is not something we conjure up on our own—it is given by God. Patience, in the Greek word hypomonē, means more than waiting; it is steadfast endurance under pressure. When Paul prays for believers to live in harmony, he connects it directly to the patience that God gives, because unity, maturity, and healing take time.
If you've been praying and haven't seen the answer...
If you're dealing with people who test your spirit...
If you're in a season where the "not yet" feels louder than the "right now"...
Know this: God gives patience. Ask Him for it. And He won’t just give you time—He will give you strength for the time you’re in.
Heavenly Father, God who strikes but also heals, give us the patience that comes from You alone. Teach us to wait not with worry, but with worship. Let our delay become development. Let our waiting work out our witness. We receive Your patience today—not just for what we’re going through, but for how we go through it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you're tired of waiting on your own, come to Jesus. He doesn't just give peace—He gives patience, and He walks with you through every moment. Join us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, where we grow in grace, together.
