Encouragement for Others
Good morning Ekklesia
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." – 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)
In this passage, the Apostle Paul urges the Thessalonians to continue in their work of lifting each other up. Encouragement is not just a suggestion but a command to live out the love of Christ. Building each other up means we contribute to each other's growth, both spiritually and emotionally, reflecting Christ’s heart for the Church.
There are moments when we feel empty, drained, and even inadequate to help others. But it is precisely in these times that we can turn to God, who is our endless resource. When you pour into someone else, God pours back into you. He never runs out, and He never leaves us dry. Encouraging others is an act of faith because it acknowledges that we are not operating out of our own limited strength, but out of God’s infinite supply.
When you take time to uplift someone, speak life into their situation, or offer a simple word of encouragement, you are participating in God’s Kingdom work. And in doing so, you will find your own heart lifted, as His Spirit renews you.
Let's pray...
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the source of all strength and encouragement. Help us to follow Your example by building up those around us, even when we feel like we have nothing left to give. Remind us that You are our endless supply, and that as we give, You will fill us up again. Empower us to be vessels of Your love, joy, and peace, and let us reap the rewards of seeing Your goodness in the lives of others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you feel the call to walk more closely with Christ and be a source of encouragement in this world, we invite you to join us in the journey of discipleship. Jesus is ready to fill you with His love, grace, and strength. Reach out, and let’s grow together in Him.
