Good Morning My Ekklesia Family
John 15:18 NLT – “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.”
Someone is going to get jealous. Someone is going to complain. Someone is going to find fault. Someone is going to disagree and get mad. Someone may even cry, leave, or go silent on you—but talk about you behind closed doors.
And still… you keep being who God created you to be.
Jesus prepared us for this. In John 15:18, He reminds His disciples—and us—that following Him would not always lead to applause or approval. In fact, it would often lead to rejection. But rejection by man is not a reflection of your value; it’s confirmation of your calling.
David was rejected before he was crowned. Joseph was betrayed before he was elevated. Jesus was crucified before He rose. Your critics do not cancel your assignment—they confirm it.
You were not made to be understood by everyone—you were made to be obedient to the One. You were not created to carry everyone’s comfort—you were created to carry God’s glory.
So the next time someone questions your joy, doubts your progress, or feels threatened by your anointing… remind yourself: “I’m not living for applause—I’m living for alignment.”
Stay focused. Stay grounded.Pray. Fast. Speak truth. Walk in love. Be bold. Be kind. Be faithful. Be who God made you to be.
Lord God, Thank You for creating me on purpose, with purpose. When rejection comes, help me not to retreat but to rejoice, knowing I share in the sufferings of Christ. I surrender the need to be liked and embrace the need to be obedient. I will keep walking, keep building, and keep becoming. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Have you been shrinking back because of how others respond to your light? God is calling you to rise again. To take your place. To follow Jesus fully—not halfway, not apologetically. If you're ready to surrender or rededicate your life to Christ, we invite you to walk with us at Ekklesia.
