Blessed Reminder

1 John 2:12 (NLT) – “I am writing to you who are God’s children because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus.”

Good morning My Ekklesia Family

Imagine a prisoner, shackled in chains, condemned by the weight of their past. Suddenly, the cell door swings open—not because they earned it, but because someone paid the price. The warden says, “You’re free to go.” But instead of walking out, they sit back down in the corner, afraid to believe the good news.

How many of us are spiritually free… yet emotionally still imprisoned?

John writes this letter to remind believers of their spiritual identity. “Your sins have been forgiven through Jesus.” This isn’t about temporary relief—it’s about eternal truth. The Greek tense used here implies a completed act with ongoing effects. That means what Christ did then still covers you now.

You're not trying to be forgiven. You are forgiven.

You're not trying to earn it. You already have it—through Jesus.

So why live like you’re still guilty?

Why bow your head when heaven’s already lifted it?

1. Stop revisiting what God has released you from.

2. Start walking like you're His child—not sin's slave.

3. Saturate yourself in the Word that reminds you who you are.

You don’t have to clean yourself up to come to Christ. He washes you so you can start new.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for forgiving my sins through the blood of Jesus.

Thank You for making me Your child.

Today, I drop the weight of guilt and shame.

I refuse to go back to what You’ve already set me free from.

Help me live like I’m loved, lead like I’m chosen, and walk like I’m redeemed.

In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

If you're ready to walk in the freedom of forgiveness…

If you’re ready to stop going back and start moving forward in Christ—

We invite you to grow, serve, and be discipled at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries.
