Because of That, We Will Do This

I used to work at DuPont and Chemours, a chemical plant here in Louisville, KY. Tthe materials and items we used and made were very hazardous. If we were not constantly careful a simple mistake could cause a disastrous change in the environment and even take the lives of people. Knowing the hazards of what could and would be if things were not handled correctly, DuPont and Chemours, have procedures in place for everything. How to walk up and down stairs – Procedure. Walking across the street – Procedure. Loading and Unloading materials – Procedure. In case of emergency – Procedure. What to wear (PPE - Personal Protective Equipment) and where to eat – Procedure. I hope you see where I’m coming from, they had plans in place of what to do just in case something happened. And every now and then something did happen, Thank God we were prepared.

Do you have procedures in place in case something doesn’t go as planned? Most people don’t. We have discovered, in the middle of a world-wide pandemic, we were not as ready as we thought we were to handle this type of adversity. We are seeing levels of anxiety and stress rise at astounding rates. Prices of food and basic cleaning items have also increased, traditional jobs are changing and some are disappearing, and these stimulus checks are temporary fixes for a bigger problem. Many people know we need to do something more. We need to have definitive life plans in place. Instead of looking for stimulation we need to find and utilize sustaining power, something to hold and keep us during this life altering crisis.

The great news is God is still speaking. I thank God, because during this pandemic people are turning to God for answers. The church building may be closed but the Power of God is not, He is never closed. Yes, God is still speaking, loud and clear. I pray as you are asking, seeking God for answers, you are also listening and complying to the Word of God. Also remember, WORSHIPING and PRAISING GOD will bring us through. God’s Word tells us “He inhabits the praises of His people”. If we really want God to show up and give us His Plan, then we must do this.

This is what we were created to do, to WORSHIP and PRAISE GOD, and live a life pleasing to Him. I pray, instead of us living as people without any hope, we would trust God and His Plan.

Ephesians 3:14-21 NKJV

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
