“Peace Is a Gift”

Grace and Peace Ekklesia "Called-Out Ones"

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

— John 14:27 (NLT)

Peace is a gift from God. Don’t surrender it to those who haven’t received theirs yet.

Peace is not something you earn, negotiate, or borrow — it’s a divine gift from God. Yet many surrender it daily to people who haven’t received theirs. Jesus never said the world would understand or honor your peace; He said He would give it.

When others carry unrest, they’ll often try to hand it to you. But you don’t have to accept it. Protect your peace like the sacred treasure it is. When storms rise around you, remember: Christ’s peace isn’t fragile — it’s fortified by His presence.

In this verse, Jesus prepares His disciples for turbulent times ahead. He promises a peace not grounded in circumstance but anchored in relationship. The Greek word eirēnē means wholeness or harmony restored. This means peace isn’t just quiet—it’s completeness in God.

Even when external chaos surrounds you, internal calm is possible because Christ dwells within you.

  • When you sense anxiety rising, pause and whisper: “Lord, I receive Your peace.”

  • Set healthy boundaries with people who disturb your spiritual atmosphere.

  • Begin your day with gratitude, declaring, “Nothing and no one will steal my peace today.”

Father, thank You for the priceless gift of peace. Help me to guard it as carefully as You guard me. When others bring chaos, remind me that I don’t have to receive it. Let Your Spirit rule my heart and calm my mind. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
