When Walls Fall, Love Rises
Ephesians 2:14 (NLT) – “For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.”
In this passage, Paul is reminding the Ephesians that Jesus is the one who brings unity. The ancient divisions—just like the modern walls of hate, racism, or bigotry—were torn down by Christ’s sacrifice. This isn’t just a historical note; it’s a living truth that Jesus continues to break down the barriers that divide us today.
In our world, we often see walls of division—whether they’re visible or invisible. Yet the gospel message is that Jesus is the ultimate wall-breaker. He calls us to live in the reality of that unity, letting his love rise as those walls fall.
Take a moment today to identify any walls in your own heart—walls of prejudice, fear, or misunderstanding—and invite Jesus to tear them down. Let his love fill those spaces so you can be an instrument of peace and unity.
Lord Jesus, we surrender our hearts to you. Tear down the walls that keep us from loving others as you do. Fill us with your Spirit of peace and unity. We trust you to transform us and lead us. Amen.
If this message speaks to your heart, we invite you to join us at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries. Here, we’re all about tearing down walls and letting the love of Jesus build bridges.
