Our Lips, Our Life

Are Our Lips and Life Matching?

Good morning Ekklesia

Our lips often speak of faith, love, and dedication to Christ, but do our lives reflect those words? In Matthew 15:8 (NLT), Jesus says, "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me." This warning calls us to examine whether what we say aligns with how we live. It’s easy to declare that we follow Jesus, but true discipleship is seen in daily actions that reflect His love, grace, and truth.

Studies from Bible narratives reveals that Jesus confronted the religious leaders who followed traditions but neglected the heart of God's commands—love and justice. Today, this message still challenges us: Are we living out the Word in our relationships, in our work, and even in our private moments? James 1:22 (NLT) tells us, "But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves." True faith transforms how we treat others, how we serve, and how we walk in integrity.

Let's evaluate our lives and ask, "Do my actions match my words?" If we preach kindness, are we showing it? If we speak of forgiveness, are we extending it to others? Authentic Christian living comes when our lives become a testimony of God's grace, where our hearts and our words are united in reflecting Jesus.

Heavenly Father, help us align our hearts, words, and actions with Your truth. Strengthen us to live out the faith we declare, to be doers of the Word, and not just hearers. May our lives be a reflection of Your love, and may others see Christ in us daily. In Jesus' name, Amen.

If you're ready to not only speak about Jesus but also live for Him, we invite you to join us in walking this path of discipleship. At Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, we are a family committed to living out the Word of God every day. Visit EkklesiaChristianLife.org and become a part of this journey to align your life with His purpose.
