Lord, Increase Our Faith

Luke 17:3 So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.

4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Sometimes it just hard to forgive people. You try, then something happens, you get discouraged and give up. Jesus teaches us in Luke 17, we must forgive others when they are Godly sorry (Repent). For the disciples, just like many of us, know without God's help we can't forgive, because we are always reminded of what others have done to hurt or harm us. With the lesson on forgiveness, the disciples ask for faith. Because without it we can not forgive.

What is Faith? Simply put... IT'S BELIEVING IN GOD Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

We may have the desire to increase our faith, but its actually The One who gives us faith (The Lord) is only The One who can increase our faith. We don't increase our faith God does. James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Our faith grows when it is tested and tried. Muscle Memory The ability to REPRODUCE a Particular Movement without conscience thought, ACQUIRED as a result of frequent Repetition of the movement. In other words TURN YOUR MUSCLES ON AUTOPILOT

Our faith grows stronger as it is stressed. Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Today I pray God will increase your faith, that the trials and tribulations you endure are not in vain. in the Name of Jesus Amen.

Love u more than u know, Stephan
