Truth in the Face of Lies

Grace and Peace Ekklesia

Micah 6:8 (NLT) — “No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

Micah speaks into a time of corruption, when leaders had sold justice for profit and priests twisted truth for power. Sound familiar? Our government often mirrors this — filled with lies, division, and hate. But God’s standard never shifts: do right, love mercy, walk humbly.

Jesus, in John 8:32, declared: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Freedom is not found in political parties but in Christ’s Kingdom. His justice is not partisan — it is holy, pure, and eternal.

Imagine a courthouse where the judge takes bribes, the jury is bought, and the truth is silenced. That’s injustice. Yet even in such brokenness, one voice speaking truth can shift the room. Like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. declaring, “Let justice roll down like waters,” our call is to be that voice — the salt and light (Matthew 5:13–16).

Injustice is loud — but truth is louder. Lies may dominate headlines, but God’s Word endures forever.

Division thrives on fear — but mercy heals. We must cross lines of race, politics, and class to embody Christ’s love.

Hate destroys — but humility rebuilds. When we walk humbly, we reveal the power of the cross over the pride of men.

Practical Step: Today, choose one action of justice. Speak truth at work. Show mercy to a neighbor. Pray for leaders instead of only criticizing them.

Abba Father, we repent for the times we stayed silent in the face of injustice. Fill us with Your Spirit of boldness to do right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly before You. Where lies divide, let Your truth unite. Where hate destroys, let Your love heal. Empower us to be living testimonies of justice and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Friend, true justice starts with Jesus. If you’re weary of the lies of this world, come to the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Receive Him today as Savior and Lord. Step into a Kingdom where justice is not corrupted, but perfected in Christ.
