How We Lead
Leadership Is Service.
At Ekklesia, leadership is not simply a title. It is a responsibility to serve Christ and His people faithfully.
We desire leadership that reflects the character of Jesus: grounded in Scripture, dependent upon prayer, accountable, compassionate, teachable, and committed to helping people grow in their relationship with God.
Our Commitment
Equipping the Church
Pastoral leadership exists not to do all the ministry, but to help prepare God’s people to grow, serve, lead, and participate in the work God has entrusted to the church.
Leadership Priorities
Christ at the Center.
Our leadership priorities flow from the life and mission of the church.
The Word
Teaching and preaching Scripture faithfully so believers can understand God’s Word and apply it to everyday life.
Prayer
Seeking God’s direction and cultivating a church culture that depends upon Him in every season.
Discipleship
Helping people become mature followers of Jesus who continue growing in faith, character, knowledge, and obedience.
Pastoral Care
Walking with people through life’s joys, questions, challenges, transitions, and seasons of spiritual growth.
Equipping
Encouraging believers to discover their gifts, develop as servants and leaders, and participate in ministry.
Mission
Keeping the church focused beyond itself—sharing the Gospel, serving people, and demonstrating the love of Christ.
The Whole Church
Every Member Has a Place to Serve.
Ekklesia is strengthened when the gifts, experiences, wisdom, and service of the entire church family work together.
Ministry Leaders
As ministries develop, leaders help organize, care for, and serve specific areas of church life under the spiritual direction of the church.
Servant Teams
From hospitality and worship support to outreach and administration, serving creates practical opportunities to love God and people.
Future Leaders
We believe in developing people. Discipleship includes creating opportunities for believers to learn, grow, serve, and mature in leadership.
Meet the Family
