“Same God… Different Covenant”

John 3:16

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

Sometimes people say, “The God of the Old Testament feels different than the God of the New Testament.”

But here’s the truth:

God didn’t change—the covenant did.

In the Old Covenant, the message was:

“Do this… and live.”

But in the New Covenant, through Jesus Christ, the message is:

“He did it… now live.”

The standard didn’t go away—

it was fulfilled.

The law showed us what God requires.

Grace shows us what God provides.

And when you read, “For God so loved the world…”

that’s not a new love…

That’s revealed love.

The same God who gave the law

is the same God who gave His Son.

You are not living under pressure to perform…

You are living from the promise that it’s already finished.

Stop trying to earn what has already been given.

Father, thank You that You have not changed.

Thank You that what I could not fulfill, You fulfilled through Jesus.

Teach me to stop striving and start receiving.

Write Your truth on my heart, not just in my mind.

Help me to live from love, not law.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Declare this today...“I am not trying to be accepted—

I am living because I already am.”

If we’re going to look like Christ…

we don’t start with rules…

we start with love.
