Beloved Ekklesia Family, You Were Never an Option

The church (Ekklesia) was never God’s backup plan — it has always been part of His eternal purpose in Christ.

Ephesians 3:10–11 (NLT)

“God’s purpose in all this was to use the church (Ekklesia) to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Paul writes to the church (Ekklesia) in Ephesus explaining a mystery that had been hidden for generations.

For centuries people assumed God's plan was only for Israel, but through Christ, God revealed something deeper.

Jew and Gentile.

Rich and poor.

Male and female.

Every nation and tribe.

One body.

Paul says God's “manifold wisdom” — meaning multicolored, beautifully complex wisdom — is now revealed through the church (Ekklesia).

Not angels.

Not governments.

Not institutions.

The church (Ekklesia).

Even the principalities and powers in the heavenly realm are watching what God is doing through His people.

This means the church (Ekklesia) is not a religious organization.

It is God’s eternal strategy.

Today many people treat church (Ekklesia) like an optional activity.

Some say:

“I love God but I don’t need the church (Ekklesia).”

“I believe in Jesus but organized religion isn’t for me.”

But Ephesians reminds us of something powerful:

You cannot separate Christ from His body.

The church (Ekklesia) is not a human invention.

It is the visible demonstration of God’s invisible wisdom.

When believers love each other across racial lines and beyond their differences…

When generations worship together…

When broken people become new creations…

Heaven and hell both see it.

The church (Ekklesia) becomes proof that the cross worked.

This means three things for us today.

1️ The church (Ekklesia) was always in God's plan.

You were never an accident in the kingdom.

2️ Your presence in the church (Ekklesia) matters.

Your obedience, your love, your forgiveness — it all displays God’s wisdom.

3️ Unity is spiritual warfare.

When believers choose love over division, we are declaring victory over the powers of darkness.

The enemy wants people isolated.

God designed believers to be connected.

Because when the church (Ekklesia) lives like the church (Ekklesia)…

The universe sees the wisdom of God.

Let's pray…

Father,

Thank You for including us in Your eternal plan.

Forgive us for the times we treated Your church (Ekklesia) as optional, casual, or secondary.

Teach us to love what You love.

Build unity among Your people.

Heal division.

Restore humility.

Let our lives display Your wisdom to the world around us.

Strengthen the church (Ekklesia).

Unite the church (Ekklesia).

Use the church (Ekklesia).

And let Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries be a living testimony of Your grace, power, and truth.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
